We wanted to use this star, which has regained its old popularity, and we also desired to refer to the Seljuk civilization, which contributed to Turkish and Islamic thought and life in Anatolia for 300 years.

The most important decorating method we have been working on for coffee cups and plates recently is the 'sandblasting' technique. In the Seljuk Coffee Set, the motifs were also sandblasted. This application is done entirely by hand. With this technique, porcelain and glass surfaces are abraded with sand. With this abrasion, the desired motifs are obtained on the surface. A 2-dimensional depth is formed on the sandblasted surfaces. This application has a much more 'classy' appearance than traditional flat (non-dimensional) pattern applications made on porcelain surfaces. Wonderful appearances are obtained by painting the motifs with different colors such as silver and copper, especially gold. It is also possible to engrave company logos on porcelain and glass surfaces with sandblasting. This application provides an advantage to companies in their corporate promotions. In this set, we wanted a different color application. Although gold is the most preferred color, we chose 2 wonderful colors other than gold to meet different needs: Copper and Anthracite... In this set, we applied the copper color and named the set Seljuk Copper in reference to its color. The importance of serving water alongside coffee is well-known to everyone. Since coffee facilitates digestion after a meal and is enjoyable, water is drunk before coffee to cleanse the mouth. This way, the taste of the coffee can be better appreciated. While we're at it, let's also mention an old Ottoman custom: When a guest came to the house; if the guest was hungry, they would take water, and if full, they would take coffee. If they took water, the host would understand this with a very subtle demeanor, immediately set the table, and feed the guest.
